The 3 star family run Gonubie Hotel enjoys a beachfront location, close to the friendly coastal town of East London.Guests can choose between a bed and breakfast or self-catering stay. The hotel is within walking distance from the beach, safe lagoons, tidal pools and the Gonubie River. Gonubie beach can be reached bya long boardwalk.

The hotel boasts two restaurants and 4 bars, all enjoying panoramic views of Gonubie Bay. The Galleon restaurant serves an a la Carte menu. The Deck restaurant offers informal pub meals and a kids menu. Dolphins can be seen frolicking in the ocean from this restaurant. The hotel is perfectly situated for weddings and has 3 fully equipped conference facilities to suit a variety of needs. Other features include a mini casino, a babysitting and laundry service, barbeque facility and onsite secure parking.

There are 30 fully air-conditioned rooms and 7 self catering units. All self catering units are fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, bed linen and towels. The units are serviced daily. There are tea and coffee making facilities in each room. Room service is available.

Activities include sailing, horse-riding, surfing, bird watching, wind surfing, fishing, scuba diving, bowls, tennis, squash and golf. There are shopping centres in Gonubie and in East London which is only 15min away.
