Child Policy
Child rates: All Children under 10 pay 50% of adult rate when sharing with an Adult.
If children under 10 are in their own room they pay full adult rates.
Children over 10 pay full adult rate when sharing with an adult or in their own room.
Cancellation Policy
Please read our Cancellation and non arrival policy before confirming your booking.
Deposit = 100% deposit for 14 days or less. For more than 14 days a 50% deposit is required with 100% payment due before arrival.
If cancelled for whatever reason you will be liable for full payment whether we have a deposit from you or not. Verbal and email bookings are binding as confirmation of the booking. Companies/Travel agencies operating on a Bill back basis will also be liable to pay cancellation fees if cancelled whether we have a voucher or not. Please make sure your clients are aware of our policy before accepting our accommodation at our establishment.
We require the deposit/full payment to be paid by EFT or you need to furnish us with full credit card details to confirm the booking. Credit Card No. with expiry date and CCV no.
Like all Hotels and Guest Houses we have a Strict Cancellation policy to protect us against cancellations. We only have a few rooms and cannot make up business lost. We have a live calendar with Nightsbridge which connects too many websites around the world giving instant online availability. Once a room is booked it is no longer available to sell on these websites.
Cancellations more than 30 days prior to visit forfeit 50% of the total booking quote.
Cancellations between 30 and 15 days prior to the visit forfeit 75% of the total booking quote.
Cancellations between 14 and 1 days prior to the visit forfeit 100% of the total booking quote.
For non-arrival/no show/premature departure 100% of total booking quoted is payable.
We do not pay third parties for any other services on your behalf. If monies are deposited into our account incorrectly we do not refund until cleared with our bank.
Limitation of liability
Guests agree on behalf of themselves and the members of their parties that neither the establishment, its owners, employees nor agents shall be responsible for any injury or death of any person or the loss or destruction of or damage to any property upon the premises, whether arising from fire, theft or any cause and by whomsoever caused or arising from the negligence (gross or otherwise) or wrongful act of any person in the employment of the guesthouse.
Any damage caused by guests to property and premises due to bad behaviour or carelessness will be for the guests account.
By signing or by confirming the reservation verbally or by email the guests/agents agree to this policy explicitly and irrevocably

Take the N2 into town, all the way to the De Waal Interchange/ Groote Schuur, follow the signs (Left) for M3 Muizenberg. Take the Second off-ramp on the M3 South, M146 Princess Anne Ave: Follow Princess Anne Ave/Klipper Rd all the way down to Main Rd (M4).
Keep to the left (Rondebosch) on Princess Anne/Klipper Road. Do not go right to Newlands.
At the T – Junction turn right at the traffic lights into Main Rd. Continue along Main Road past Westerford Buiding on the right, The Spur and Butlers Pizza on the Right, on the left the turnoff to Newlands and Sports Science.
At the next set of traffic lights, just after the Newlands Swimming pool (on your right big orange and green pavilion); on your left is SA Breweries/ Old Newlands Holiday Inn now called The Southern Suns Hotel), turn right into Sans Soucci Road and first left again, into Esme Road. We are no. 14 on the right hand side.
