Welcome to Carters Rest Guest House, your “home away from home”. Centrally situated and easy to reach, Carters Rest is the ideal guest house to relax after a long day or tiresome journey. Here, every visitor will experience true Northern Cape hospitality and service at its best!
Our 5 luxury self-catering and semi-self catering units are situated on just smaller than a hectare of land in town. We are within walking distance from the nearest shopping centre where a supermarket, bottle store, ATM’s, coffee shop and take-away business are situated. The North Cape Mall with its range of restaurants, movies, ten pin bowling and much more, is about 2km from us.
Visitors can rest assured that their vehicles will be safe day and night due to the fenced area near their units.
Child Policy
Children are welcome. However, we do keep parents responsible for the behavior of their children. We love well-behaved children, but do not tolerate misbehaved children!
Children 5-14 years – R75.00 per nag /per night
Children 15 years and older – R100.00 per nag /per night
Children must share with parents.
Cancellation Policy
All payments must be made into our bank account within three (3) days of booking to secure your reservation. In case of cancellation within seven (7) days before occupying, you will forfeit 50% of your payment. In case of cancellation less than seven (7) days, 100% will be forfeited. Proof of payment must be sent for same day bookings, if not paid cash or by credit card.

Directions:
FROM CAPE TOWN:
Enter on N12 from Hopetown and Modderriver. At the first robot, (Caltex Garage on right hand side), turn LEFT into Mac Dougal Street. Go past the four way stop, carry on straight for approximately 900m
and then turn right into Queens Road. Go past 3 four way stops. At the fourth four way stop, turn right into Carters Road (church on your left). Drive 550 m and you will find Carters Rest on your left.
FROM BLOEMFONTEIN VIA BOSHOF (R64)
Approximately 2 km before entering Kimberley, turn left at the Eskom building (Aristotle Road). Go over the fly-over and keep on straight to the first robot (Cecil John Rhodes on his horse on your right hand side). Carry on straight through 7 robots. Go past the Microwave Tower on your left. Approximately 300 meters past the tower, turn left into Carters Road (slipway). There is an outdoors business on your left hand side. Follow Carters Road to the four way stop (Pick and Pay on your right). Drive past Pick and Pay and the first dwelling on the right will be Carters Rest.
FROM BLOEMFONTEIN VIA PETRUSBURG
Enter from Petrusburg past the airport. Go over 2 fly-overs. After the second fly over keep on straight. You will see the Diamond Pavillion Mall right in front of you. At the mall, turn left and go past 2 robots. At the second robot there is a Caltex garage on your left. Go over the second robot into Mac Dougal Street. Go past one four way stop, carry on straight for approximately 900m and then turn right into Queens Road. Go past 3 four way stops. At the fourth four way stop, turn right into Carters Road (church on your left). Drive 550 m and you will find Carters Rest on your left.
FROM JOHANNESBURG (N12)
Come in from Warrenton. Go past Shell Ultra City on your left. Flamingo Casino is on your right. BEWARE: 80km/H zone. Go over fly-over past the robot, over another fly-over past the robot. At the next robot, turn left (Leon’s Liquor Store on your right and Sammy’s on your left) into Quinn Street. Go past the four way stop, past Van Zyl Vleis & NAPS Café and over the robot. Continue straight to the next robot (Cecil John Rhodes on your left & JJ’s Garage on your right). Turn right into Lennox Street. Carry on straight through 7 robots. Go past the Microwave Tower on your left. Approximately 300 meters past the tower, turn left into Carters Road (slipway). There is an outdoors business on your left hand side. Follow Carters Road to the four way stop (Pick and Pay on your right). Drive past Pick and Pay and the first dwelling on the right will be Carters Rest.
FROM BARKLEY WEST
Go past the two way stop to Griekwastad. At the second stop turn left. Drive for approximately 2km to the first four way stop. Carry on straight for another 550m – Carters Rest will be on your left.
FROM KIMBERLEY AIRPORT
