Game Lodge
Family owned and managed since Saturday the 25th of November 1933, this International Award Winning private game reserve is located in the finest territory of the world famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve. It stretches for kilometers along the perennial Sabie River which forms its natural boundary with the Kruger National Park. Lion Sands 1933
Nicholas and Robert More, brothers & fourth generation owners of Lion Sands, completed and opened their 3rd private lodge, Lion Sands 1933, at Lion Sands. The Lodge is aptly named after the year in which their great grandfather came to this area and is offering guests the ultimate hideaway or private family home. Enjoy complete privacy, combined with the finest location and some of Africa’s best safari territory.
Lion Sands Ivory Lodge

Kids over the age of 10 are welcome and will pay 50% of the per person sharing rate when sharing with two adults.

31 - 60 days prior to arrival - 25% on the value of the booking
0 - 30 days prior to arrival - 100% on the value of the booking

By Road…
Recommended route from Johannesburg or Pretoria:
Take the N12/N4 highway to Nelspruit. R40 from Nelspruit to Hazyview. At Hazyview turn right onto R536 towards Paul Kruger Gate. After 38km turn left onto gravel road which is signposted to Lion Sands. Drive along dirt road for 4km. At T-junction turn right and drive for 4km to Sabi Sand Gate (entrance fee R70 per vehicle). Drive straight as signposted to Lion Sands. After 2km turn right at sign. Drive straight following signs to either River Lodge or Ivory Lodge.
