Sparkling pool, tropical gardens, luxurious accommodation and warm ambience all within 3 minute walk to the shops, restaurants and beach. Luxury rooms with private entrance and patio, open plan lounge/bedroom area, en suite bathroom, well equipped kitchenette and barbeque facilities. One two roomed suite and one standard room also available. All rooms are air conditioned with ceiling fans, personal DSTV decoders and safes, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge and hairdryer.

Full English breakfast and Continental breakfast served daily. Qualified in-house tour guide, wi-fi access anywhere on the premises, secure parking, daily laundry service. Visa and MasterCards accepted. Close to Gateway Shoppertainment Center, business parks, golf courses, casinos and tourist attractions. Children 10+ welcome.

Cancellation Policy
Terms and Conditions

A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking with 48 hours of making a reservation.

A booking constitutes a binding contract. Guests are advised to take out insurance to cover the full cost of accommodation in the event of a cancellation. We will seek compensation for any cancelled accommodation that cannot be relet, including premature curtailment of stay.

Accommodation will automatically be cancelled if the deposit is not received by the due date.

Deposits are not refundable in the event of a cancellation, or 'non arrival'.

Check in time is from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. Late check-ins to please be arranged prior to arrival, otherwise a surcharge of R200,00 will be levied for late arrivals.

Travelling from Johannesburg, take the N3 south to Durban to the N2 north/south intersection and turn onto the N2 North to the Umhlanga Rocks turn off:-

Travelling from Durban Airport, follow the directions for the N2 North to the Umhlanga Rocks turn off:-

Travelling from the Umfolozi/Hluhluwe Game Reserve. Follow the N2 South towards Durban to the Umhlanga Rocks turn
off:-

Travelling on the N2 take the off-ramp sign-posted "Umhlanga Rocks/Mount Edgecombe". Turn right at the traffic lights at the end of the off-ramp. The sign is marked "Umhlanga Rocks to the right, Mount Edgecombe and Phoenix to the left. Take the 2nd turn-off, (not the 1st turn-off) which is marked "Umhlanga Rocks Drive".

When you reach the junction at the top of the off ramp, keep left into Umhlanga Rocks Drive. At the second traffic circle you must take the 3rd turn-off on the circle, which is the continuation of "Umhlanga Rocks Drive". You will be heading downhill directly towards the sea. At the 3rd set of traffic lights, turn right into Ridge Road.

At the end of the first block, there is a stop street with the "Umhlanga Veterinary Clinic" diagonally opposite you. Turn right into Stanley Grace Crescent, the road curves to the left and Anchor's Rest Guest House is the 4th house on the left hand side. There is a sign on the pavement which says "Anchor's Rest" so you can't miss the guest house.
