Bergview log cabin is built on the foot of Hlongoma Mountain, Underberg. Hlongoma Mountain offers a great "hike" to the top where the view is spectacular. During the summer months a cascading waterfall can be seen and heard from the garden. This cosy cabin is the perfect place to retreat too and has all you need to have a great holiday. The deck upstairs offers spectacular views of Hodgens Peak and the rest of the Southern Drakensberg Mountain range. The perfect place to enjoy a sundowner. The living and dining area are open plan to the fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave,stove, kettle, toaster and all the cutlery and crockery needed. The living area has a log fire place, TV and DVD player. A DStv decoder is in the house. A gas braai is on the upper deck for those hassle free dinners. Upstairs comprises of one double room with a full en suite. The 2nd bedroom has two single beds and shares a bathroom with the 3rd bedroom which has one double bed. All rooms are tastefully decorated and the two front bedrooms offer spectacular views of the mountain range. The stairs down to the self contained bedroom en suite has a safety gate. The downstairs bedroom offers a double bed with an en suite. There is also a double sleeper couch. The doors open up onto a deck which has a rock plunge pool with a safety net attached. Summer here is bliss!! All beds have a duvet, blanket and relevant linen, as well as electric blankets for those chilly evenings. Hand towels are provided, but please bring your own bath towels. Each bedroom is also equipped with a heater for those chilly days. Bergview is fully serviced, Mavis will come through at 10am each morning to make beds and tidy the kitchen and to ensure you are well taken care of. For those who are booking long stays, we can arrange the washing of clothes for a nominal fee. The garden is a haven for kids of all ages. Along with the swimming pool comes a jungle gym and sand pit as well as a trampoline. These keeping the kids busy in the berg fresh air! The property is fully fenced and pets can come on holiday too with prior arrangement
Cancellation Policy
For all cancellations made within 14 days of arrival date require full forfeiture of all monies paid. Cancellations within 2 months
of planned stay will require forfeit of 50% of the total booking value. We reserve the right to cancel any reservation due to
circumstances beyond our control, a full refund shall be issued. There are no refunds due to natural or man-made disaster,
electrical blackout and the like.

Travelling from Durban or Johannesburg along the N3, take the R617 turnoff (Exit 99: Southern Drakensberg/Underberg). Continue along the R617, through Bulwer, to Underberg. As you start approaching Underberg you will see Puckerty Farm on your right hand side, and shortly after that the next road to the right is Reservoir Crescent. It is a dirt road, and you will see Water board signs there as well. Turn right into Reservoir Crescent, and follow the road for about 100m. You will see the Bergview log cabin on the right. It has a sign above the driveway.
