"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Idwala Lodge - the only problem was that it was too short!! We were thoroughly spoilt by our hosts who pampered us with great attention to detail, our every want was looked after with a smile. And nothing beats a superbly prepared supper, beer or glass of wine in hand seated around the boma, chatting about the day's viewing. It is the place to stay if you want a real game viewing experience in malaria-free Nambiti Game Reserve. What really makes this gem really special is that only official game viewing vehicles are allowed in the 10 000 hectare reserve - no queues of outsiders waiting in private cars to get a view of one of the big 5. Our very knowledgeable ranger seemed to have a sixth sense in being able to find the best animal and bird viewing spots. We saw, inter alia, lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, hippo, cheetah, hyena, serval, many species of antelope including eland, nyala and kudu, and both black and blue wildebeest. A fantastic, never-to-be-forgotten experience!! Highly recommended."
