OMAHA is conveniently located 2 hours NW of Windhoek en route to a number of Namibia's primary tourism destinations: Etosha and Waterberg National Parks, Damaraland, Bushmanland, Kavango Region and the Caprivi Strip. Located nearby are the Erindi Game Lodge, Omaruru Game Lodge, Mt Etjo Safari Lodge, Dinosaur Tracks, Okonjima Lodge/Africat Foundation, and Cheetah Conservation Fund. “Omaha” in the Herero language means "the place where one can live".

Mt Etjo is a geologically unique feature of the Namibian landscape dating to the time of Gondwanaland, 500 million years ago. The mountain is a narrow plateau 16 km long with a maximum width of 3 km, standing 2086 m above sea level at its highest point, and capped with a layer of hard sandstone measuring up to 70 meters deep. The saddle of the mountain forms the watershed between the Omaruru River running west to the Atlantic Ocean and the Omatako River that runs to the northeast into the Kavango River, historically draining into the Indian Ocean by the Zambezi River. The mountain has a diverse flora and fauna, including protected species such as Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra, Damara dik-dik, klipspringer, and leopard. A very diverse bird fauna with over 250 known species, including waterfowl, is seasonally attracted to OMAHA’s impoundments and gardens.

Cancellation Policy
25% deposit is required to CONFIRM bookings. No refunds on cancellations within 90 days of booking. 50% refund on cancellations greater than 90days, less cost of refund.
