Bumi Hills Safari Lodge boasts one of Africa’s finest wilderness locations with an elevated position overlooking Lake Kariba. Bumi is easily accessible by light aircraft and boat, allowing you to be swiftly transported into paradise without the stress of a long journey. You are welcomed into luxurious comfort by a team of staff that are passionate and committed to ensuring your stay will forever be etched in a treasured part of your memory.
Our twenty rooms all have views over the lake. Ten are premium rooms with balconies and uninhibited views across the waters to Zambia. The other ten are garden rooms with slated terraces. All rooms are equipped with tea/coffee trays, fresh milk and baked cookies replaced on a daily basis. The rooms are air-conditioned at night and during the day upon request.
Taking centre stage is the beautiful infinity pool that seems to blend endlessly into the lake horizon. The entertainment lounge houses a large flat screen TV with over 200 satellite TV channels, comfortable lounge chairs, a full-size snooker table and a darts board. Adjacent to this room is the library lounge with a cosy fireplace and a wide choice of books and board games, the perfect setting for a rare rainy day, crisp cool winter evening or simply just to catch up with friends on the days events.
Our dining area is located both under cover and open to the skies. Our chef has a great team of staff, his cooking rivals that of any international lodge and he adds special touches and flavours to everything he makes.
Bumi has an interactive pool bar where our ever friendly barmen can offer you a refreshing drink under the warm African sun whilst you bask in pool’s crystal clear waters. On a level below the pool is a sophisticated wine terrace and traditional fire pit that will enhance the intimate social atmosphere that Bumi is renowned for. All main building areas have free WiFi accessibility. Mobile signal is also strong at Bumi Hills.
Our GM at the lodge goes out of his way to ensure that all Bumi guests’ needs are well attended to and catered for ably assisted by his management team.
