What to do in the Area
Granny Mouse Country House & Spa is part of the famous Midlands Meander which is an association that has been together for the last 25 years. It is made up of a collective of businesses that showcase a wide range of artists, potters, weavers, leather workers, antiques, glass, kite making, wood turner’s, furniture makers, cheese, wine, chocolate and the list goes on, The history and heritage of the area includes Howick Falls revered by the San people, the Scottish influence in Fort Nottingham, the European history of the 1880 settler’s, the capture site of Nelson Mandela. The area has an wide range of sporting and outdoor activities including golf courses, walking, birding, canopy tours, biking, hiking, fishing, game walks, paintball, sailing, clay pigeon shooting and various child friendly activities. The Midlands is famous for horses predominantly studs, with horse riding facilities and our very own horse whisperer.

Child Policy
We welcome children on the understanding that children under 12 may not eat in the Eaves Fine DIning Restaurant. The Bistro is open at all times to children and in the event that the Fine Dining menu is requested residents are welcome to partake in the Bistro Restaurant to enable them to eat with their children. A baby sitting service is available as are additional beds / cots for R550 per night. This cost includes 3 hours of babysitting, bed and breakfast for the child. There are a couple of family bedroom options which allow either one unit - Room 10 (Two Double Rooms, One Single Room & 2 Full Bathrooms) or Interleading Rooms - Room 6 & 7. Rates are available on request.
Cancellation Policy
1. Reservations are not secure until full deposit has been paid
2. Full payment for selected package must be made 45 days prior to arrival
3. Bookings made at shorter notice must be confirmed by full payment within 48 hours.
4. Bookings cancelled 45 -30 days prior to arrival, 25% of deposit will be forfeited
5. Bookings cancelled 30 – 21 days prior to arrival, 50% of deposit will be forfeited
6. Bookings cancelled 21 – 14 days prior to arrival, 75% of deposit will be forfeited
7. Bookings cancelled within 14 days of arrival, 100% of deposit will be forfeited
8. Bookings will be released automatically & without notification if these conditions are not met

Take the Nottingham Road turnoff and turn right towards Nottingham Road village. Continue for another 15 km's until the Granny Mouse Country House on the Left Hand Side.
From Durban N3:
Take the Howick Tweedie turnoff (3rd Howick sign) and turn left. At the T junction turn right and continue past the Dargle turnoff for approximately 13 km's. Go through Lidgetton and look out for the Granny Mouse Country House turnoff on the Right Hand Side.
