Alta Bay, previously a 5-star boutique hotel has recently been converted into a 4-star B &B guest house with 4 large luxury units. Each unit has a separate entrance, fully-equipped kitchen (or kitchenette), a private outside terrace / deck and offers all the 5-star facilities (air-con / heaters, flat screen TV’s with incorporated DVD/CD player, satellite TV, electronic safes and wireless PC connection (unlimited cap), a large selection of DVD’s which can be watched in the rooms and hair dryers).
From the plunge pool, guests can enjoy the magnificent sea & mountain views whilst lazing in the sun. Note that the loft (70 m˛) has extra features such as a bedroom on the mezzanine floor, a large bathroom with bath & shower and a sleeper couch in the lounge (which can be unfolded for a 3rd guest). For early arrivals & late departures, guests can use a separate bathroom.
Even though there are fully equipped kitchenette in each unit, a continental breakfast (served in the room / on the terrace from 9h00 to 12h00) is optional at an extra charge. Should guest want breakfast earlier, there is also a choice of restaurants and coffee shops (open from 7h) at walking distance(900 m) from Alta Bay.
This Tuscan house is built on separate levels with a great sense of space and light throughout and is designed in a contemporary style with bespoke furniture handcrafted locally.
Whether you choose to unwind by the pool while enjoying the sunshine and a cool drink on the terrace, take out a CD or DVD from our collection, or read in the garden with its secluded shaded and breezy areas, your stay at Alta Bay will leave you refreshed and invigorated.

• Over 30 days prior to your arrival date: fully refundable
• 30 days or less prior to your arrival date: 50% deposit is non-refundable
• 7 days or less prior to your arrival date: the full amount of the stay as originally booked and confirmed will be charged
• Should you shorten your stay with us the full amount of the stay as originally booked and confirmed will be charged
Refunds and waiver of cancellation are at the discretion of the management and subject to the ability to re-let the room

Directions from the airport /N2:
From Cape Town International Airport take the N2 towards City/Cape Town. As you approach the city and Table Mountain, the road starts climbing sharply. Position yourself in either of the 2 left lanes and then take the exit marked De Waal Drive (Camps Bay and Cableway). Drive along as the road winds along the mountain for about 3.4km and then take left off-ramp just before a small overhead bridge (the sign reads: M3 Camps Bay, Cableway). Drive for approximately 1.3km (along, Jutland, Mill and Orange streets), pass the 2nd set of traffic lights and then turn left into Hof Street. At the traffic lights take another left into Camp Street and immediately right into Molteno Road. Drive all the way up Molteno (it widens into a broad avenue). One street before the very top, turn right into Invermark Crescent and stop at number 12, marked ALTA BAY where we are located.
