Resthaven Guesthouse is a 22-room guesthouse situated on the main road of Matatiele which is the gateway to Southern
Lesotho, the start of the Maloti Route and on the R56 the alternative scenic route to the Cape. We offer information about our area and Lesotho.The Guesthouse is made up of four different houses.All the buildings are old (some from 1903) that the owners renovated and restored beautifully to still have a homely, old fashioned warm
atmosphere but with all the modern comodities to make the guests comfortable. Large lawns and gardens between the buildings give a feeling of space and tranquility.
The history of the complex is very interesting with names like Resthaven Main old house (victorian double story with brookie lace) the owners residence, The Mance, The Cottage, The Stables and the luxury rooms; to hint at the interesting story behind the whole set-up.
