This 3-star hotel was awarded the Bronze Arrow Award by PMR Africa for being ranked one of the Top 4 Executive Hotels on the coast. The hotel has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment and renovations process, including upgrading of many of its rooms and the magnificent dining room, as well as the addition of a world-class conferencing centre which seats up to 200 people.

With 45 rooms, including seven family rooms and a honeymoon suite, Margate Hotel can accommodate a total of 110 people in comfort.

Conferences

Choose from four air-conditioned conference venues fitted with a sound system, microphone and projection screen.

The comprehensively-equipped new lower level functions room, with surround sound, is ideal for conferences, accommodating up to 200 guests, or you can select one of our smaller function rooms upstairs or downstairs.

Margate Hotel’s experienced conference consultants will meet with your planning team to organise an event that will guarantee your staff or guests are free to concentrate on the subject matter presented.

Access to years of experience in designing company-specific corporate events is apparent in the endless list of services available from Margate Hotel’s team. A number of conference packages are available to suit a variety of needs and special requests/arrangements can be accommodated.

Weddings and functions

The Hotel provides access to a number of wedding specialists. From the design and printing of the wedding invitations, decoration and supply of the symbolic wedding cake, through to the bride’s and bridesmaid’s dresses, the décor and the music, as well as the photographer/videographer and flowers, nothing is too much effort for the team at Margate Hotel.

We can even accommodate a wedding party in our dining room, with its breathtaking views of the sea.

The Margate Hotel also caters for other special events, such as engagement parties, 21st parties, Bar and Bat mitzvahs, retirement and birthday parties. Special packages will be tailored to suit individual needs. The extremely popular Harley Davidson event, attracting thousands of Harley Davidson fanatics, is hosted by the Margate Hotel in April every year.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policy:
In order to secure your reservation, we will require a 50% deposit within a 48 hour period. The balance must be settled on or before the day of arrival. Please note any cancellation for accommodation will only be accepted if the cancellation was done 24 hours in advance. Cancellation/Admin fee of 20% will be charged if done 24 hours in advance. Should advance cancellation of your booking not be done, the full deposit will be charged and will not be refunded to you.
