This relaxed getaway situated in the exclusive suburb of Belvidere overlooks Knysna's Lagoon and offers delightful accommodation in 28 spacious colonial-style cottages. Each fully serviced cottage features a wide veranda, an airy living room with fireplace, satellite TV and dvd player, a fully equipped kitchen and options of one, two or three en suite double bedrooms. Dinners are served at Caroline's bistro in Belvidere House, whilst meals are served throughout the day at The Bell Tavern, recently voted the Garden Route's best pub restaurant. Swim, take a gentle walk or take advantage of our preferred golf rates. Belvidere Manor is a delightful wedding venue and has a small conference centre.
Child Policy
Children 0 - 1.99yrs stay for free
Children 5 -11.99 yrs less 50% of full adult rate when sharing adult accommodation
Children +12 yrs less 30% of full adult rate when sharing adult accommodation
Cancellation Policy
Should a reservation be cancelled the following charges will apply:
01-03 days prior to arrival 80% of total accommodation charge
04-06 days prior to arrival 65% of total accommodation charge
07-14 days prior to arrival 50% of total accommodation charge
15 – 21 days prior to arrival 30% of total accommodation charge
22 – 29 days prior to arrival 10% of total accommodation charge
Should a guest not arrive (no show), or his stay be cut short for any reason then the hotel is entitled to charge the full amount of the accommodation. This is not dependent on hotel’s occupancy level. Guests should be advised to take out travel insurance.
All cancellations are subject to an administration charge of R250 per cottage.
No verbal cancellations will be accepted. All cancellations must be communicated in either written or electronic format to our Reservations office.
These charges have been adopted in line with current ECC Law.

FROM GEORGE / CAPE TOWN
(Take the N2 Highway from Cape Town, and follow it all the way to George)
1. Proceed along the N2 Highway for approximately 70km from George.
2. As the road descends a hill, views of the Knysna Lagoon and river can be seen.
3. Take the left exit at the bottom of the hill, sign-posted to Belvidere / Brenton-on-Sea.
4. This road turns sharply to the right, and proceeds under the bridge of the main road
5. Proceed up the hill approximately 2 km.
6. Turn left into Belvidere.
7. Take the first turning to the right on to Belvidere Estate, into Duthie Drive.
8. Proceed along Duthie Drive, (keep left) past houses, down past the jetty and to the right up the hill.
9. The hotel property is on your right, the main gate at the top of the hill with signboards pointing to the entrance.
FROM PORT ELIZABETH AND KNYSNA
1. Proceed through Knysna, heading towards George.
2. Drive along the lagoon-side road, and cross the river over the bridge.
3. Turn right immediately after the bridge at turning Belvidere / Brenton-on-Sea
4. This road turns sharply to the right, and proceeds under the bridge.
5. Proceed up the hill approximately 2 km.
6. Turn left into Belvidere.
7. Take the first turning to the right on to Belvidere Estate, into Duthie Drive.
8. Proceed along Duthie Drive, keeping left, past houses, down past the jetty, and to the right up the hill.
9. The hotel property is on your right, the main gate at the top of the hill with signboards pointing to the entrance.
