PEGASUS EQUESTRIAN ESTATE
Pegasus Equestrian is an Eco-Estate situated 25km from Port Alfred near the coastal resort of Kleinemonde on the road to East London.
The estate is a must for all riding enthusiasts as it offers first class dressage, lunging and jumping facilities; livery and lessons as well as a challenging cross country course.
Doug Lindeque manages this picturesque 25 ha estate which has panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, two fully-furnished cabins (which are rented out to holiday makers) and a Reiterstuebchen (a fully-equipped clubhouse) that is available to hire for functions.
Pegasus is owned by Regina Anwary who arrived from the Black Forest region of Germany twenty years ago. A champion rider herself, she now dedicates her time to training others.
Unschooled horses are purchased, trained on the estate, exposed to rigorous competition and then sold to riders throughout South Africa. Great care is taken in correctly matching horse and rider.

ACCOMMODATION ON THE ESTATE
Pegasus Equestrian Estate offers two cosy cottages - one two-bedroomed and one one-bedroomed – to rent. Please contact Douglas on 079 105 8774 for more details. Both are set in tranquil surroundings. Watch the impala grazing. Plenty of birdlife and waterbirds down at the dams. Fifteen minutes drive from Port Alfred. Ten kilometres from the Fish River Sun. Five minutes drive to the Kleinemonde beach. Outrides can be arranged by appointment. Bring your own horse/s on holiday by arrangement.
GETTING HERE FROM PORT ALFRED
Drive 24km from Port Alfred on the R72 towards East London. Turn left onto the dirt road to Shaw Park. Pegasus Equestrian Estate is 1.5km on the left. Call Douglas as the estate is access-controlled.
GETTING HERE FROM EAST LONDON
Drive 120km from East London on the R72 towards Port Alfred. Turn right onto the dirt road to Shaw Park.
