The Gewel Gastehuis in the scenic town of Ficksburg, is centrally situated on the Maloti route, 50km from Fouriesburg. 100km from Clarens at the gateway to Lesotho & Katse Dam.During winter the mountains are covered in snow. Annual events include the Cherry & Asparagus Festival and Surrender Hill Marathon.
